Yoga Mistakes You Should Avoid

Yoga Mistakes You Should Avoid

Just like you cannot start working out and be good at it right away, the same applies to yoga. It takes time to become good and have as much practice as everyone else, and it takes a heck of a lot of time to perfect all your poses, something that even many veterans still struggle with you. So, if you are going through that, it is okay to keep that in mind.

Thankfully, we can always help you out at Marianne Wells Yoga School because the place is equal for all the beginners and veterans, which ensures that you are not going to have any problems while doing yoga with us. But still, we have some mistakes that we want everyone to avoid.

Holding Your Breath

This is one thing that a lot of my fellow yoga practitioners can agree upon and that is holding breath. There is nothing wrong with it, sure. But you should never do it just because you want to try out a pose and nail it the first time. Holding your breath is going to prevent the flow of energy, and will hinder you with stress and tension in your poses, which is the exact opposite of what you would want when doing yoga.

Not Using The Equipment

The equipment, or props as many would call it are absolutely necessary. Sure, you might hear someone saying that you don’t need all of these, in the first place. But that level of finesse only comes after years of practicing. If you are new or even in the intermediate stage, you should make use of blankets, straps, blocks, or bolsters to be certain that your poses do not end in any injury because trust me, that is a possibility.
